DR. CAROL SEIXAS, LCSW, OTR/L

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (License #LCS23570) and licensed Occupational Therapist.

Born and raised in San Pedro, Carol left the area in 1973 to pursue her education in northern California. Graduating from both College of the Redwoods and San Jose State University, Carol then moved to and lived in San Diego county for the next 18 years before moving back to the harbor area. While in San Diego she was awarded her MSW from San Diego State University.

Now licensed as both a Clinical Social Worker and an Occupational Therapist, Carol has completed her doctorate in psychology from Cal Southern University. With over 30 years of clinical experience and a personal connection to the harbor area, Carol is more than competent to serve individuals, couples, and families in our San Pedro office. Her specialties include helping individuals and families adapt to and support the needs of those with chronic severe mental illness, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, substance abuse, goal attainment, geriatric and end-of-life issues, and chronic pain. Theoretical aptitudes range from attachment and psychodynamic to congitive-behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy.
